New Years in Cyprus

Thanks to a misplaced decimal point, Linnea and I were off to Cyprus to celebrate NYE 2007. The trip started in Toronto (via Ithaca) and stopped in Milan on the way, but it was definitely worth it.

We were pretty beat up in Milan sleep-wise, despite getting to fly in business class going over, so we didn't do a lot in our one day in Milan.

We pretty much saw the Duomo (3rd largest church in the world) and ate a few meals.

The Duomo really is huge, both inside and out. One of the nice things about it is that there is access to the roof, where you can walk among the flying buttresses.

It also provides for great views of downtown Milan.

The crypt is also open for public viewing -- incredibly ornate down there, albeit very dark.
